This is my entry for Convergence II, an ISGB exhibit that will be on display at the Gathering this year.  The theme is Jewelry for Past, Present or Pretend; I chose the fairy queen, Titania and made her a crown.

 Titania's Crown

I know a bank where the wild thyme blows,
Where oxlips and the nodding violet grows,
Quite overcanopied with luscious woodbine,
With sweet musk roses and with eglantine.
There sleeps Titania sometime of the night,
Lulled in these flowers with dances and delight.

This bit from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream describes Titania's woodland bower. Where else would she pick the flowers to weave into her fairy wreath?

NOTE:  This piece will be part of the touring exhibit, "Convergence II," which will travel over the course of the coming year.  The pieces chosen for the show are some of the most creative uses of glass beads I have ever seen.  The catalog will be available at Amazon.com; I'll let you know when that happens!
